Ouch. That hurts them in the standings if they are trying to qualify for playoffs. .

Yes. But it's same for everyone and sometimes it can also profit a team like it has done in the game today. DC made a very low total and if the game were to be completed, SRH should win it easily. So, as it stood, SRH is now eliminated but DC now has some good chance of making it to the playoffs.

I see. So in this case it was a benefit even though they only got one point and are behind the Titans who also have a game in hand.

Yes. GT has advantage of playing 1 game lesser to MI and DC both. Tommorow's game between MI and GT will clear the picture about top 3s. If GT wins, MI will have to fight hard for the fourth place with DC having a fair chance of moving forward while kkr and LSG also have some outsider chance to make it through.
