I feel like there is context to this question that I'm missing. I would guess the CIA's involvement in Bitcoin at this point, to the extent it is involved, is to "stop illegal things." Bitcoin is so inconsequential, so early, that I doubt they've formulated an agency level goal.

When internet money comes out of nowhere with American technology (SHA-256) at the center, you have to at least consider this possibility.
