Its VERY simple. Press. This gets them in the news. Politicians are press whores that do not care about logic and especially not efficiently using their resources. Because they are not their resources and there is little benefit to being responsible. If the voters were to actually pay attention and use their brains then you might have a prayer of holding politicians would act in responsible ways. This has never been the case and I don't see it changing.

I’ve never understood when either side would do something like this. When you don’t have control of the House or the Senate why are you wasting your staffs time and everyone else that has to do the procedural moves to introduce and add this. I mean even Democratic Rep. Green didn’t feel like wasting time and resources that much.
