Lightning wouldn't have worked even if it was accepted, but I would like to learn if this can be fixed/improved somehow.
@gandlaf21 is doing awesome work to improve offline usability w/ cashu: #943832. It's not lightning and there are custodial elements to this (the mint) but bottom line, holding a couple of offline spendable emergency "cash" sats in there may not be the worst thing until we have another breakthrough?
