Cocktail of the day: The Shrunken Skull
The Shrunken Skull is a classic tiki cocktail that combines the richness of rum with the tartness of lime and the sweetness of grenadine. Also, @denlillaapan post (#965471) inspired me to come back with a rum recipe.
Ingredients:
1 oz dark Jamaican rum
1 oz Jamaican rum
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz grenadine
3-4 drops saline solution
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously until well-chilled. Strain into a tiki mug or double old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a lime wheel or pineapple fronts, if desired.
