pull down to refresh

Yes, yes, I'm a schmuck: #728519 ...and I was really happy to work on this book with Nik (#946402, #910275).
Still nice to have it on the shelf; sweet collection.
There are one or two obvious titles missing (Stackers see 'em??) but otherwise it's pretty complete. Very happy about all these.

What do you think of The Bushido of Bitcoin? I was interested in that one when Svetski was writing it / promoting it / talking about it on podcasts, but never pulled the trigger to buy it. Good book? Would you recommend it?
reply
very. Liked it a lot.
He is a little bit of an acquired taste, that man, but if his rants don't put you off I think he found a really good question ("What do we do when bitcoin wins?"). I like the answer too -- morals, values, masculinity, lost virtues -- but even if you don't, it's the right type of inquiries

Doesn't it get repetitive after X books?..
reply
a little, but most are trying to carve out unique niches so that keeps it interesting

Don't you feel at some point, there are many subjects that overlap on those books? I feel the same with podcasts, it's like "yeah fiat is broken and the printer ruins everything etc. " but we know that already.
I'm reading now "Bitcoin is Venice", basically because I like the title. It has some interesting things, but not clear where does it want to go, still doubting on finish it.

indeed I do. It's a crowded field, and as a writer you kinda need to find yourself a serious niche

Nice collection! I'm glad to see The 7th Property up there. I really enjoyed that book, which was one of the first I read after The Bitcoin Standard.

The two obvious missing titles are 21 Futures: Financial Fallout and The Bitcoin Dog: Following the Scent to the Bitcoin C++ Source Code

clearly
(I have Financial Fallout as a pdf if that's any consolation)

Isn't "Debt: The first 5000 years" missing, sweet little potato pumpkin pie?
