Bitcoin doesn’t care who you are. It only cares if you follow the rules.
Bitcoin neutrality refers to the idea that Bitcoin, as a network and protocol, does not discriminate based on who is using it, where they are, why they are transacting, or what they believe.
It’s a system designed to treat all users equally, no matter their background, wealth, politics, or intentions — as long as they follow the rules of the protocol.
Very important to watch this as Andreas truly was ahead of his time. We are seeing a lot of what he said here play out in real time.
I regularly listen back to Andreas' decade+ old narratives because they're full of gems and opportunities to ask yourself "is this still true?"
For example, early on in this video:
Do we still think that the assertion that the US populace will be the last to use bitcoin (as MoE) holds true today? Personally, I've started to think either Europe or India may ultimately be the last to come. My yet incomplete thoughts:
Thoughts?
PS: I cant help but feel that there is a 2-3 year window in the US now to embed sats as a wider accepted payment method. Maybe longer but that's what i feel is a conservative window of opportunity right now. It would be a shame to let that go to waste?
Same, working my way through them asking the same type of questions.
Yes, I do. People with influence in the ecosystem are pushing an entirely different agenda that lines only their interests. This is not adoption, this is faux engineering.
Plebs should do their best to get self-sovereign, get friends, family onboarded to Bitcoin while they still can. We will have to fight for this right in the near future.
Yeah I think this is the oppty right now. I'll be on boarding as much as I can.
