Visited the Victoria and Albert Museum the other day and had my tiny brain blown by this Chinese nephrite. Jade explained that most likely predates the great pyramid.
It was not a part of the museum I would typically have visited, but I stumbled in and I am glad I did. This item is one of the whole wealth of incredible objects.
What was quite interesting, and you can see it in the photo very slightly, are artefacts of how it was manufactured on its surface, that curved line.
