Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem eased environmental restrictions to fast- track construction of about 2.5 miles of border barrier.
WASHINGTON — Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday bypassed environmental regulations to speed up the construction of about 2.5 miles of new border barrier between Mexico and California.
Securing the southern U.S. border is one of the Trump administration’s top priorities, and this is the first waiver of environmental laws for the border wall of Trump’s second term.

My Thoughts 💭

Just when you thought the wall was dead it is back with a vengeance. Wonder if Mexico is still footing the bill for this wall!
Mexico may also pay some of the bill, but the USA will undoubtedly pay more (I'm guessing 80-20%). And building the wall is unethical from the USA perspective... In 2015, when Hungary built a fence/wall on the Hungarian-Serbian border (to prevent the influx of migrants into Hungary), it was the USA that sharply criticized this, saying that it violated human rights... Of course, we know...there are always those who are "more equal" than others ;)

To paraphrase Dr Paul. One day these walls could be used to keep people in, not out.
Mandibles. Food for thought.

I mean, not for nothing, this is our country border and needs to be protected, F yeah, build the damn wall... I would rather see our Military be deployed to Arizona and New Mexico than to Syria or Iran... that's for damn sure YMMV...
