Why Bitcoin security budget will always be enough and why Miners will do just fine short and long term.
Many people raise concerns over miner revenue decreasing as block rewards get smaller every 4 years and fees decreasing. But I think these people are missing a lot of things that I discuss below.
Even if big factory miners shutdown today we have bitcoin solo miners as a backbone to secure the network. As of today we have over 10 thousand Bitaxes online that's over 10PH of Hashrate plus over 1EH of various types of miners who are hardcore believers who won't turnoff no matter what. Most of these miners are hobby miners who are not worrying about hashprice or difficulty adjustment they simply plug it and forget it. But there are more.
In some regions in Africa and other continents mini power grids start to rely on Bitcoin mining to stay profitable. Companies like Gridless and others are harvesting the surplus energy those mini grids are producing by helping them make extra revenue in return. These miners don't need to worry too much about energy prices as they simply give a percentage of anything they make to the power producer. We also have massive amount of stranded energy that are just starting to come online.
Stranded energies are source of power that are being wasted or unused such as: gas flaring to the atmosphere from the oil field, landfill methane gas venting, etc. Bitcoin mining is probably the best and cleanest way to dispose these gases while making money in the process.
In my opinion, most industrial factory miners will eventually find their way to more stranded energy sources as the Bitcoin difficulty and miner efficiency tighten their revenues, again that's a very good thing as they will be transforming wasted energy to valuable energy money that everyone wants, Bitcoin.
For these reasons and much more other reasons, Bitcoin security budget will always be enough to secure the network as there will be some people somewhere who are willing to plugin miners even when they are not making money.
