I suspect this was a long con, by a savvy businessman.

Always start high so your final offer sounds reasonable. Classic negotiating. But are you sure you don’t want to throw in Crosby for an extra 5th rounder?

Well DE is a more valuable position than linebacker but I would stick with Fred even though I would love to have Mad Maxx.
