Lots of sports on tap today with both NBA and NHL starting their playoffs. Also a full slate of MLB games and Wrestlemania begins tonight (I am sure @Coinsreporter will be watching).

NHL Games Blues vs Jets Avalanche vs Stars

@gnilma and @Undisciplined what do you think about teams using city jerseys and courts during the playoffs? I am not a fan but I am not a fan of the city jerseys and courts in general.

I don't want to see the NBA champion hoisting the Larry OB on a ridiculous court in a ridiculous jersey. I hope the NBA will not allow this for the finals.

I don't mind the city jerseys or city courts, but do prefer the regular team jerseys and courts. As long as they don't color the whole court in some ridiculous color like the In Season Tournament and turn the courts into an eyesore, I don't mind them changing it up a little.

I'd be fine with it, if it were confined to some specific set of games. Otherwise, I like to immediately know which team is which.

But you're fine with them lifting the Jerry West and Larry Bird Trophies (or whoever they're named after) in stupid uniforms on dumb courts?

The new NHL bracket is terrible. I miss the 1 vs 8 format

I think the new format is good. It almost guarantees rivalry series and sets up teams in the same division to play each other.

I find this gets the best quality of drama and intensity

I don't mind that they do it for round one but I think it should shift to top seed vs worst remaining seed in round 2.

Definitely. Lightning as well with the Panthers. Congrats you had over 100 points and finished second, now play the defending champs and current favourite to win the cup (based on vegas odds).

Not sure. They were hoping he would be good for game 1. He practiced yesterday but they haven't said if he will be ready or not.

I'm working today and have to drive down to the land of the free right after work. So no sports watching for me. Will try to catch some NBA highlights late at night tonight when I arrive.
