You can self-custody your Bitcoin.
You can run your own node.
You can use nostr, encrypt your data, and exit every system you don't trust.
But if you can't get out of bed without caffeine and cope, you're not sovereign.
Sh*t, I lived with a friend who watched porn right after waking up. That's not freedom. That's dependence.
When I go to Bitcoin conferences, everyone talks about freedom like it starts with the internet.
It starts with your physiology.
A sluggish body -> a foggy mind.
A foggy mind -> poor decisions.
Poor decisions -> dependence.
Dependence -> slavery.
You want to build in public?
Start by fixing what's private: your routines, your health, your inputs.
I'm no expert, but this is what I recommend, because it's what works for me:
- Wake up with the sun. Go to sleep without screens.
- Move every day. Lift heavy things. Walk. Breathe deeply when the mind is in a maze.
- Eat real food. Not the ultra-processed goyslop that keeps you sedated.
- Kill the dopamine drip. Your nervous system isn't a slot machine.
- Respect stillness. Your mind didn’t evolve for constant stimulation. It's okay to just lie down and look at the view sometimes.
You either take control of your biology, or someone else will. Agorism is nothing without strong individuals, mentally and physically.
Digital sovereignty is powerful, but physical sovereignty is foundational.
You are your first node.
This is a reminder to keep it online ;)
