I was clicking through the Garmin Connect app after my run, while waiting for my kids' art class to finish, and came across this stat.
I know that VO2 max measures how much oxygen your body can use during intense exercise, which is important for cardiovascular exercises like running or biking. But I thought it's hard to measure VO2 max and you need to be hooked up to a bunch of equipment while running on a treadmill to accurately measure it.
I know this number from the watch is just an estimate. But I wonder how accurate is this estimate? Because I really don't think my fitness age is 20.

Here's a video comparison of most popular "estimation" devises and lab test.
It says Garmin's estimation works pretty well. I can add that when I was running daily my VO2 max correlated with my endurance. The higher it was the faster and further I could run.
