There's really not much to say. I just wanted to put a bug in the ear of anybody else that has to deal with water problems and has a few old, unprofitable s9s sitting around. At least you'll get your KYC-free bitcoin rebate. Is there a business opportunity here?!?

Sorry for your misfortune. I have dealt with 2 house floods in my lifetime, all before I discovered bitcoin. Good luck

Thanks man! Honestly and fortunately, this one was pretty tame. The ceiling will be the biggest issue, which is mostly a headache. My last one, which was a legit flood, caused over $8000 in damages, so I’m just glad we caught this early. …and I got to make a fun stacker news post out of it.

Honestly $8K is not that much for flood damage, IMO.

When life gives you lemons: a). make lemonade out of it b). ask to have a martini with it.
Both options mean that we must find the ideal way out for ourselves, regardless of the circumstances.

What am I looking at here? Are you drying up water from a leak using the heat from S9s?

That is precisely what you are looking at. I had a water leak in the bathroom above this part of the basement (where the tv and vcr normally sit), and once I got the leak stopped, we vacuumed and are running the miners on it. I think the combo of both the air AND the heat has made it even more effective. I didn't even pull the carpet up, as I think this alone will take care of things. The ceiling is another story... :(
