This is a great way to get rid of all those old batteries that seem to be generated fairly often. I guess they can still recover the copper, but can’t sell it out as copper foil due to competition from China. But, seeing that China has retaliated by restricting the sales of strategic goods, maybe they will be back in the copper foil business, too. I assume that Straubel is keeping a close eye on what the administration is doing, undoing and redoing and re-undoing over and over. I think China will be more steady in restricting supplies than we will be on tariffs.
