I just tend to find having a beard less annoying than shaving. I'd prefer neither.

With respect to hair cuts, I feel that it is something that imposed us in some way and then normalized. To the point where you do not, they perceive you as someone strange.
Beard looks good when it's long. It's looks bad when it's short.
