I thought I'd make a little post to extol the virtues of the Robosats pause button. This simple tool can really benefit users.
I discovered the button by accident. I touched the screen and noticed that my offer was paused. I have since come to really appreciate it.
I use it most frequently around bedtime, when I still have an open offer that could be accepted overnight. Rather than risk losing my bond by failing to act within the time window, I pause the transaction until the next morning. I have also used it if I need to take a long drive, plane flight, or have to work at something where I cannot check Robosats.
The second use case is during market volatility. If the price of bitcoin swings way outside the price range you initially found acceptable, you can just pause the offer until market conditions improve, or you can "run out the clock" rather than having to choose between executing an undesirable trade or losing your bond. This gives you much more control over your transactions at no cost.
You might have trouble finding this pause button. It is not well marked.
It is the light blue circular button on the right side of the bottom half of the offer page:
I know I mentioned this before, but I thought I would make a standalone post, since I use it so often.

Siggy, lately l feel you have been experimenting a lot with sats and fiat. Its simpler to keep things in sats and not to go back to fiat. So many endless possibilities.

I appreciate your concern, but no need to worry. All I do is buy on Robosats. I think I posted before about how I do think it's important for there to be a robust p2p bitcoin exchange. That's the only way to fight centralized exchanges like coinbase. It's hard to envision a really liquid market that doesn't have buyers and sellers using all types of assets, including fiat. Personally I can't bring myself to use fiat on p2p. That's why I'm stuck buying with physical gift cards. But, if there aren't traders willing to buy and sell everything as bitcoin market makers we're never going to have enough liquidity to make coinbase, Gemini, etc obsolete.

the pause button seems like a game-changer for managing offers during times when users can't actively monitor transactions—whether it's bedtime, travel, or work commitments. Your example of using it to avoid losing your bond overnight is particularly relatable and demonstrates how this feature can provide peace of mind.
