There was a powerful smell of something burning coming out of the elevator.

I investigated and didn't see smoke but when the smell didn't let off and someone else said there was smoke, I pulled it. It was super satisfying, especially because I got to end my day hanging out on the sidewalk in the sunshine instead of working.
