Man what a way to celebrate turning 22 in a couple of weeks! He has the ability to make $203 mil over 10 years (if his option is picked up) but also hits free agency at age 31! That gives him the ability to easily sign another monster of a contract that will likely place him up there as one of the highest paid MLB players of all time!
I think that with these super-million dollar contracts, it always ends up being very difficult for players to meet expectations since they have to stay in good physical shape... hit what's asked of them, meaning high numbers... and also struggle with the thought that "I'm already a multimillionaire, why bother trying?"... something that has undoubtedly happened to many players in any discipline, especially in baseball or soccer.

I think your right Anthony Rondon hates baseball and got paid $240 mil and never plays. I will say at being this young you will have arguably his best playing years for a lot less money than if the system plays out given how good is has been. Factoring in that contracts keep going up by the time he's 27-28 he's going to command $50+ million easily
