Throughout the 2025 season we are counting down MLB's best ballparks. Here is last week's edition #924066.
The next ballpark on our list is #26.
Loan Depot Park- Miami Marlins
I don't know what to say about this park. It could have been so cool. They tried to capture the Miami flair and vibrance and failed miserably. I don't have a clue what possessed them to ruin their CF sightlines with that gaudy, cheap looking sculpture. They used to have a fish tank behind home plate which was an odd but fun feature. Unfortunately a foul ball cracked the "unbreakable" glass of the fish tank and they removed it. The park looks small enough that it should be a good place to watch a game and the retractable roof is well designed to be out of the way while open. Plus they did a nice job with the large windows in the OF to allow a lot of natural light in when the roof is closed. So, it's not all bad but it ends up at #26 because it could have been so much better.
On to #25 next week.
