This sounds bad. I'm sure many of you have noticed this before but its very easy for people to drop their skepticism of government once a politician seems to believe what they believe. At the same time, it is easy for people to not acknowledge good things these people can do. We humans seem to lack the skepticism that is needed.
The obvious example is someone like Trump. While he has said and done some good things that align with bitcoiner's views he clearly can't be trusted and is doing plenty of things many of us do not align with. The popular positions are to hate him or love him. Looking at his with skepticism isn't nearly as popular.

The movement that's really under pressure here is opting out. The illusion of mainstream adoption, fueled by narratives ranging from Bitcoin Countries to ETFs to SBRs, even if successful, distracts from what we - or at least I, over a decade ago - set out to do: become independent.
The movement does not have to fail though, because once you're bored with all the "Crypto Ball" events, listening to Jamie Dimon's takes and buying yet another Little Hodler or Salvadorean coffee, you can simply focus on what matters: taking control of your own life.
