North Korea conducted its first successful nuclear test on October 9, 2006. This marked the country's official entry into the group of nuclear-armed nations. However, North Korea had been pursuing nuclear weapons for decades before that, with early efforts dating back to the 1950s and 1960s. Since 2006, it has conducted multiple nuclear tests and developed more advanced nuclear warheads and missile delivery systems.
And it's increasing, whereas for the US, it's decreasing.
