I sincerely can't tell if you're a shill for the shitcoin you named, coming here to attempt to lure in devs over to it, or if you're actually just aloof about the differences between VC-funded crypto and Bitcoin.
Expecting money for nothing, aka a "Grant", is borderline fiat-thinking.
There are hackathons in the Bitcoin ecosystem, but the payouts are usually prizes you have to compete for. Not grants before you do development. There are rare ones, for actually contributing to open-source, but not for-profit apps.
Haha I thought I’d get a reply like this. I was super into algorand but more and more are coming around to how btc is really the only real solution.
I think smart contracts are super cool from a tech perspective and I want to build some apps & games with them, and I believe some other chains have more smart contracts development than btc.
I wasn’t really expecting there would be grants, but given there’s hackathons and grants for non profit apps, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
Also, aren’t some lightning network solutions commercial? I wondered if they might offer grant money to build apps on their particular infrastructure.
Still catching up with btc lightning and stuff so if I’m missing obvious things, would appreciate any pointers.
I ended up here after watching a bunch of Michael kratters videos on YouTube and doing some searching.
