Context: I was out for a walk with my daughter, my best friend, and her son (my daughter's best friend). After walking a long way, I sat down on a bench with my daughter while my friend and her son looked at some handcrafted products at a nearby fair. We were having a quiet conversation when suddenly I looked to my left and, "Oh! It can't be! It's Santa Claus!" I whispered to my daughter. "He's on vacation in Peru!" My daughter looked at me in disbelief. "Is that really him?" she asked. I told her it was obvious: blue eyes, glasses, white hair and beard, tall, and the exact right build. She looked at him with determination, but still had doubts. I told her we couldn't go near him to bother him because he was on vacation, resting. Just then, my friend approached and said (without knowing the conversation I was having with my daughter), "OMG, it's Santa." I told my daughter: "Do you realize? (name of my friend) I notice it too. Yes, it's him!" - The look of excitement on my daughter's face is indescribable. Just then, a homeless man walked by and with laughter and a very loud voice said "Look at Santa Claus" and continued walking while laughing, a man who was nearby nodded his head. My daughter couldn't believe it "Santa Claus" is on vacation in Peru. She turns around and says "it can't be mom, they're recognizing him."

I admit it was pretty funny playing that little prank on my daughter. She often mentions that she wants to go to Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, Finland, to meet him, so it was a golden opportunity.
