And, as we do every week, we'll share an awesome @Aardvark sports fact.
What are we missing?
Any thoughts about NBA expanding to Europe?
https://www.nba.com/news/commissioner-adam-silver-discusses-potential-european-league-all-star-format-following-board-of-governors-meeting
I can't believe I forgot about that. Yes, that's a big deal.
First I heard of it. That's interesting because a couple episodes ago you mentioned that potential Saudi league. I wonder if this is a response to that.
Some journalist were citing last night Adam Silver and talking about number of teams (16) , considering what to do to with the game length (40 vs 48) and so on. Some of them were even mentioning already some names..
The brief thing I had heard included holding places in the league for some of the more popular existing Euro teams.
What I find exiting is that once this league is established the NBA can have it's version of the Super Bowl, which was original a match between the best teams from two different leagues.
Yes, I would think that most of the teams participating in the Euroleague would join this venture. I am sure that some of the owners( such as Real Madrid, Barça, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos) would join without hesitation...
Probably not unrelated, but it might just be different groups of billionaires recognizing the same opportunities.
I'm also reminded that we were going to talk about how to fix tanking. I do know the answer, btw.
Ok. We can add that. We have a lot of topics but nothing that should take a ton of time.
It's also an evergreen topic. No need to jam it in.
Did you guys catch the Bulls vs Lakers game last night. Tough loss for the Lakers and some heroic plays by Gidddey to steal that win.
No, I watched the end of OKC-Memphis and the beginning of Duke-Arizona.
No I didn’t catch it but I lost 5 bucks on it. I bet on the Lakers when the Bulls had the lead early because I could get them -1.5 points. I thought for sure they would win. Bulls are hot right now though.
Lakers had this one in the bag, but they managed to let the Bulls come back and win it with a half court shot. The Bulls really had no business winning this one, but the Lakers served the win on a platter to the Bulls; no sense for the Bulls not to take it. Worth checking out the highlights, or better yet, find those final minutes uncut videos.
I am looking forward to the @Aardvark sports fact.
Do you need a new one? It's been a while since I've dropped one...
I believe there’s at least one we haven’t used yet
I'll come up with something fun this week.
