I think giving a sick kid a Gameboy advance is a net positive. Studies show they need less pain medication etc.

Can't remember last I donated to charity; don't think I believe any/most of them on net do any good. 

 to, it'd be one of these effective altruism (like GiveWell) that investigate/assess impact.
