Yeah bit weird they used to be mid year which makes more sense so they may all have two byes this year

NFL usually starts byes in week 5, which is kind of early and ends them in week 15 which is really late.

AFL also did the weird opening round where only four games were to be played but then only two happened. The rescheduled cats lions game has been put in this weeks round
