These aren't points. These are runs. These teams in IPL are just making +200 runs for fun and that's making it sound like too many.
There will obviously be games with low scores and the runs will be so less for those games.
It however seems par because we'll include at least 50 games and to win you've to reach 20k runs. That makes it 400 runs/game on an average.

What do you think about bonus runs for getting the winner correct? I know this is more like fantasy than a pick the winner but it's odd that players who pick the losers get more points.
The winner is irrelevant because you can't accrue many more points than the loser.
We already have 10 bonus runs for making 175 runs, and 20 for 200+.
I didn't want to make it like another prediction game so didn't ask you to choose the winner.
its a team game so, even if a players makes maximum runs can still be from a losing side if the the other team collectively scores more runs.
If it's about @Undisciplined nothing up another high score, he's just getting lucky here. Still a long way to go..
He wasn't the only one to pick losers but get a lot of points. Just seemed odd. Not an issue. I understand your strategy better now.
It's really odd feeling when someone like him getting ahead but as it is fair and similar for everyone. There will be games when his players won't score too many runs or won't get wickets but ours will.
(May be he's an insider fixing players for him. The rumours market is hot.)

That might be too extreme. Maybe a bonus for winning or a run penalty for losing.

coz IPL is a very long tournament, and you'll probably need to update it regularly.
