Last week, I watched a YouTube video about this, and honestly, the conclusions were a bit over the top. I can't find it now, but you could see the ground-penetrating radar images and these reconstructions—it was pretty ridiculous, to say the least.
Professor Lawrence Conyers, a radar expert at the University of Denver who focuses on archaeology, told DailyMail.com that it is not possible for the technology to penetrate that deeply into the ground, making the idea of an underground city 'a huge exaggeration.'

I don’t know what the consensus is, but that whole "vast city" idea is clearly an exaggeration.
