I think there are a lot of researchers in private industry, perhaps more than in the state institutions like universities and three-lettered agencies. I also think that there is a big new paradigm coming that will make all of the state and many company researchers defunct due to impossibly incorrect theories. Somebody has been steering us wrong for more than 150 years!
