I've been on the Orange Pill App for a few months or so. I thought it might be good for meeting bitcoiners IRL locally or when traveling. So far I haven't really used it much as there aren't any other bitcoiners on there in my area.

One cool thing that they did recently is add a lightning wallet. I kinda thought well... I'll probably never use it, but I can test it out a bit. Then they added this geo zapping idea where you can search a city or town and zap an equal amount of sats to everyone there.

I tried it out and thought it was pretty cool:

I was surprised to see a few bitcoiners in Shanghai because when I used lived there, they were very difficult to find! This would have allowed me to find my people, if they wanted to be found.

Obviously this has some privacy implications so if you don't want other people to know which city or town you're in this probably isn't for you.

I can imagine I would use this when traveling through a city. You could zap with a small intro like "Hey I'm passing through (_ place _), are there any meetups or cool Bitcoin businesses around?" Zapping people has weight and gets peoples attention (especially when you receive a big one!). It could be great way to meet new people and get to see how the locals live.
