I need to stop zapping the same people over and over again and instead zap new nyms more.

Zap the content not the nyms.

Great initiative! Let the sats come in!!!
But if I were you, I would not do that, as the old ones have proven themselves, and the new ones are yet to do so. Keep skinny zaps for the new ones until they show success like the old ones. But you showed a really nice gesture thankyy! Being on Reddit, new ones are treated like shit...

@k00b Hi! One question. Was there a territory about apps in general before? Or has it never existed? I want to make a post, but I swore I'd seen some territory about apps.
reply
There is an archived ~apps territory

Thank you!

There was ~startups, or we still having ~builders, ~devs or ~bitdevs that seems appropriate to me for talking about app. Or maybe your idea was ~lighting specific? Or is the app about ~Outdoors?
reply
I don’t think we ever had one

I already have so many neatly written and well-protected papers with my seeds from every wallet I’ve ever created. Now I’ve realized that the ideal setup for my personal “Central Bank” is a Taproot multisig wallet. So here I go, wiping out those unused wallets and their backups to set up a multisig and finally move my sats there for good.
As a beginner, I’m starting to see that the beauty of Bitcoin is the constant learning—it never stops.

It's crazy that Umbrel doesn't have an app for self-hosting a basic ecommerce store. Best options are unmaintained plugins for LNBits and BTCPayServer?

~lightning is cheaper than ~bitcoin, always has been! Like any other layer two. Due to recent SN changes, have decided to experiment halfing its base fee, twoday to 22 sats, and doubled comment fees to 2 sats too... helping stacker think twice before hitting reply. Am I obsessed with number 2? Maybe! It's all this a good idea? You tell me!

The term "lightning" emerged in late Old English as a variant of "lightening," which was derived from the verb "lighten". This verb itself came from the Old English words "lihtan" (Anglian) or "liehtan" (West Saxon), meaning "to make bright" or "to illuminate".
The Old English root "leht" (Anglian) or "leoht" (West Saxon) meant "light, daylight, spiritual illumination". This common Germanic root can be traced in cognates such as Old Saxon "liohtian," Old High German "liuhtan," and Gothic "liuhtjan," all meaning "to light".
Interestingly, before "lightning" became the standard term, several other words were used to describe this phenomenon: -"Ligetung" in Old English, from "liget" meaning "flash of lightning" -"Leven" in Middle English (mid-13th century), though its origin is uncertain -"Lait" and "laiting" in the 14th-15th centuries
The modern meaning of "lightning" as the sudden, bright light produced by an electrical discharge in the atmosphere has been in use since around 1300.

why so many marketplaces keep increasing fees? I mean, it's completely understandable to charge fees, but wow, the amount of the fees they are charging these days is wild, and the funny part is they are charging both sides...so that's a lot of fees.
I hope Bitcoin can help to get rid of them one day.
