I don't think epstien is dead. They did the Kansas city shuffle on us and had us all asking who really killed him, while he went to a fresh island to diddle kids on.

I believe show runners and story writers scour the internet, subreddits etc. to see what the fan theories are so they can tweak and adjust the story on the fly if things are too obvious
reply
I'm positive that they do. Maybe bit as a matter of policy, but I'm positive employees (writers etc) scour reddit.

I probably shouldn't say 🤫

You totally should!

I believe them all until convinced otherwise.

I mean, the straightforward Epstein conspiracy theory seems pretty likely: he was a Mossad and/or CIA operation to get kompromat on important people.
I don't have a conspiracy theory for this one, but I don't think building 7 collapsed because of planes crashing into different buildings nearby.
The most off the wall conspiracy theory that I do believe is that a bunch of the Moon landing footage was staged. I don't doubt they landed on the Moon, just that a lot of the footage is legit.
reply
I could see a lot of the moon landing footage being staged even though we landed there. I never really considered that both can be true.
reply
There was an episode of JRE that made this case very well. It would require far fewer people to be involved and most of the anomalies about the Moon Landing relate to the footage anyway.

don't suppose you know which episode? I'd be very interested to listen to it.
reply
Sorry, I don't and I don't even remember who the guest was. It was at least three years ago and the guest was one of the recurring conspiracy guys.

Most of them at this point. (Hashtag Joe Rogan's standup bit about COVID and the moon)

Why not? I mean, they were "turning the frogs gay". After that, not much is off limits.
reply
The frogs were already gay.

That missing Malaysian airlines flight really is lost.
But how?!

Justin Trudeau is the biological son of Fidel Castro

I'm not sure about that. The real Satoshi probably wouldn't like me, whereas me and @DarthCoin are pretty much best friends at this point.

A ruse maybe? 🤔

Krusty the Clown does exist :D

I think conspiracy theories are mostly retarded and a distraction. Most of them are absurdly far fetched and people spend hours "researching" them instead of doing something useful. In the end, this is wasted time because it´s impossible to prove or disprove most of it. On top of it, it´s probably unhealthy because while doing their "research" people get all riled up and stressed. And for what?
There was an interesting post in the science territory on association between poor sleep quality and conspiratorial beliefs: 919840

the twin towers disintegrated into fine dust using reintroduced technologies from the old world found in ancient buildings and tunnels. in the future, when enough foreign material is introduced into a living being, they can also get vaporized using some crazy frequency.

The physicist Robert Grimes developed a model to calculate the probablity of a given conspiracy theory to be true. The model is based on historical examples of exposed conspiracies. It probably has its limitrations, but might be fun to run the numbers on your favorite theory:
