Boston Dynamics has unveiled new features for Atlas, its most agile and autonomous robot. As demonstrated, Atlas is capable of performing extremely fluid and dynamic movements, resembling human movements in activities such as dance and hand-to-hand combat. This advancement represents an important step towards militarization, in which it is not enough to simply handle a rifle or throw grenades; the ability to engage human combatants in hand-to-hand combat is also essential.

The use of robots like Atlas on the battlefield is an irreversible trend, and from what we are seeing in this demonstration, it will not take long for it to happen.
