We don't plan to add 2FA, but potentially could. We do require authentication using your private key, extension or access to your nostr DMs which is the general standard for most nostr apps.

We make enough to pay our infrastructure costs and have some sats left over, but come nowhere near paying a salary or any personal bills for either of us. Nostr.build consists of two people, and we both have day jobs. Neither of us have ever withdrawn and/or converted any sats for fiat and just let any extra sit in cold storage for an emergency, a low month, etc.

A few things:

• I wish there was a better integration with other lightning tools, like marketplaces, better integration with wallets and nodes. It would be nice to take lightning payments to the next level like adding banking and transaction features.
• I would like to see an easier way for adoption around 'passwords'. I think it's hard for the normie to store and use their private key, even if in an extension.
• Ideally app creators could market better. Primal and Damus do a pretty good job, but there are some excellent apps like YakiHonne, NoStrudel, Coracle, Amethyst, and more. That could really build traction if people knew about them.

Although slowly, I think nostr is gaining more and more traction, and the way things are going with other social media platforms, I think nostr will catch a lot of people that get fed-up with the centralized, shadowbanning, bias of other social media platforms.

There are some very cool nostr features coming out, from us as well as from other apps, detailed statistics on your media, search functionality, Blossom, etc., they will catch on!

It's awesome to see people posting their newborn baby pics, and travel photos, things like that give me a warm-fuzzy.. Just to see so many people using and enjoying something we created is a very cool feeling. When we see usage metrics of people using new features, like AI image generation, it is great also.

Good question. I think there is a good and bad side of any AI tool. First of all, it is inevitable, like it or not they are coming, and many already here. For example, I hate that journalists would use AI to write a story, but now there are AI tools to tell if something was written using AI. I love science and engineering, so the ability for AI tools to detect cancer in early stages, or help protect our children while they are learning to drive, or drive our drunk-ass home, is all good stuff. I am worried about it being used exclusively for art and music, removing the human touch.. For quick mock-ups it is fine, but for final copy production pieces, it is pretty gross.. Not sure how things will evolve there, but we need to maintain natural human creativity....

Yes, if I understand correctly. You can upload whatever media you want to your nostr.build account and it is not shared unless you share the link. It is your private media repository. Often people will create a burner nostr npub to create an account just to have anon, private media hosting with us.

We do not do traditional web hosting, but you can use us to provide media to your website, use our links. We also have an Account feature that lets you host your media externally on your own nostr.build page at https://nostr.build/creators

How very cool and down-to-earth nostr users are compared to what one might think about a decentralized platform. We get almost 0 racist, hate, CSAM media uploaded, and is mostly all cool memes and pics! Here is an example of recent uploads: https://nostr.build/freeview

Blossom is a common, widely understood ingredient like sugar. Nostr apps would be anything you are making in the kitchen. Although there are other sweetener options like stevia, splenda, neotame, Xylitol, nobody knows most of that crap, and they want to use something that works and that everyone uses. :)

Basically it is a common media hosting protocol that makes it very easy for any client to use a Blossom server, and anyone to create a Blossom server and have integration directly with their nostr clients.

That would be a cool feature, and have not really thought of it. I feel like for the most part, streaming events are already recorded, and it is just a matter of getting access to that link. We have thought about creating a 'link list' of favorite media links you can add within your nostr.build account.

No! We need one.. We are working on a search feature that will be able to search them up though :)

Interesting question. First thing that comes to mind is that because nostr is a grass-roots, decentralized movement without huge investors or money piling in, it will take some time for nostr to grow. Like bitcoin, it will be a slow, multi-year process, but slow and steady wins the race.
