THE FIRST THING IS TO ACTIVATE EMOTIONS
Today we're going to be NEUROSALESMEN
Because human beings have five senses, all of them driven by effective stimulation.
And the best thing that can happen to us as salespeople is for our customers to be pure emotion in the buying process.
You'll wear yourself out less, and your words will be much more effective.
Now, a small example.
💡If we give away water💧and chocolates🍫, for example, in a shopping center, sales will certainly increase.
It's very beneficial for us salespeople to carry chocolates or water in our small suitcases and thus offer them to our potential customers when we're shopping. Our bodies secrete dopamine, and consuming delicious chocolate increases phenylethylamine. This way, we have a double source of pleasure for the brain, making the individual feel indulgence, ease, and reward.
If a thirsty person doesn't buy anything, we offer them water
Likewise, a tired person doesn't buy either; invite them to a place to sit and offer them something to drink.
Another example...
A person wants more when they hear music and sounds related to what you're selling.
This is a small example I read in a book 📕, and it says that a good melody in a clothing store can increase sales by up to 18%.
On the other hand, smells are magical.
There are companies that sell you scents and tell you what your store should smell like to help you sell more!
For example, the smell of a new car is one of the best in existence and is the one that excites us the most when we want to buy a car. But really, how many dealerships have you seen that take advantage of this?
I haven't seen any. At the very least, they should keep the environment almost sealed so the smell concentrates inside, but they don't even do that.
And when you walk into a Juan Valdez store or coffee shop, very famous here in Latin America, there's very little or no coffee smell because they're not interested in stimulating the brain with that smell.
On the contrary, at Starbucks, they love the smell of coffee, and notice they put up signs saying smoking is prohibited. So as not to lose that BRILLIANT aroma☕
We have to keep in mind that the mind uses all five senses to make any decision; you have to have a strategy for touch, hearing, sight, taste, and smell.
The customer must touch the product. A simple example would be if we were a mattress salesperson.
And we would say, "Ma'am, touch this mattress, feel how soft the fabric is, and how durable it is. Look at the seams. Lie down and appreciate its comfort."
That makes the BRAIN 🧠 fall in love with things.
I don't know if you know, but men fall in love with things by sight and touch. Men can pass a woman from 50 meters away and almost want to run after her. That's what men constantly feel when they see a beautiful woman or a FERRARI 🏎️ drive by.
On the other hand, women fall in love through smell and hearing. That's why you'll never win a woman over if you don't have a scent code that reminds her of a person she loves or admires, even if you wear the best cologne all day long.
This goes beyond perfumes, including skin pH, sweating, and acidity. To win a woman over, you need to tell her a lot of things beforehand; you just have to touch a man.
Another very concrete example or interesting fact is that houses with pets sell 26% more slowly because of the smell. If the person buying is someone who doesn't like animals. And if you like animals, you don't even realize it.
The same thing happens with cigarettes: salespeople who smoke have less sales effectiveness when serving a customer who doesn't smoke. Furthermore, there are many who, knowing they won't be able to smoke inside the store, or inside the premises, quickly take a cigarette and return without washing their mouth or chewing gum.
So, when serving a potential buyer, every time they open their mouth, they smell bad and no longer encourage them to buy; the smell causes rejection.
Now, if the smoking customer invites you outside, you'll sell more.
We can also say that sales are reduced when the salesperson wears glasses that make their eyes less visible. Take off your glasses when you're going to sell, and I'll tell you it's very powerful in the middle of the buying process when you want to emphasize something!
When you want to make something stand out and the customer takes that argument into account.
I want to tell you that we should always show our eyes; the brain hates a person who talks to you without looking you in the eye.
I read in a short guide that there was a company that promoted eye surgeries for all its employees, financing half of the surgeries, and sales increased for everyone who previously wore glasses.
It's incredible, but these things can transform a salesperson's life.
In the last two years, my life has changed a lot since I discovered Bitcoin. It's led me to open my mind and strengthen my sales tools and skills, as well as to share this little knowledge with others.
