Seems like a wise move to me.

Haha. PTMD. Post Traumatic Mets Disorder.
I am the proud owner of 113.2k Mets shares. My second largest allocation after the Dodgers. I believe @siggy47. I believe!

My man!!! I'm rooting for you (but keeping my wallet in my pants)
reply
Haha I don't blame you based on history but maybe this time is different. Maybe.
reply
As alway, I just hope both teams have fun.
reply
That's sweet of you. You are good soul.

Tbh I just don’t see the other teams having made trades or signings to change it. Texas would have to stay completely healthy and then some. On the other hand the Astros will get back 4 starters over the course of the season (maybe 3 if the hold out Javier). Could our outfield be a problem? Yep but look at Texas’ it isn’t any better.

On the one hand, I haven't cheered for the Braves since '92 (and really, '91 was the moment I was on board with them).
OTOH, just like no one ever got fired for buying IBM, I suspect no one ever lost their house betting against the Mets.
reply
He didn’t really bet against the Mets he just didn’t bet on them and bet on their division rivals instead.
reply
He’s a fool of course
reply
Haha. I didn't tag you because I couldn't remember if you were a Mets fan. I thought maybe because the Mets were associated with the Bisons for so many years.
reply
I’m a Mets fan indeed!! Just don’t follow baseball that closely. My memory of the bisons is when they were the farm team for the Cleveland Indians.
Going to Bison’s games was so cheap and I got to see hall of fame players like Manny
reply
Bisons games are fun. That's a great stadium for triple A. I should drive to Buff and catch a game this summer but unfortunately the Blue Jays farm system kind of sucks. If they had more exciting prospects I would be more inclined.
reply
The last time I followed baseball, the Mets blew and the Braves rocked. I assume that's still true.
reply
Both are good. Really splitting hairs between Mets, Phillies and Braves in that division but that's the order I would have it right now.
reply
Time to buy 'No shares' very early.
reply
No shares are too expensive right now. Better to spread your bets amongst a few other teams you think could win.
reply
I mean Braves won't win it. And you can screenshot this spoiler.

The Braves are good but I do think they are the third best team in their division (not by much though) and maybe the 5th best team in MLB. Anything could happen though. I am a huge fan of their GM. He will make moves to make the team better.
They will be a playoff team, which gives them a shot but I wouldn't have them as the 2nd most likely to win.
reply
I now know what he is doing. He's actually following the markets. The braves are at the 2nd place and he's gone with the wind. Let him pump, but I know who's gonna win and I'm keeping it to myself for now. I'll put the bets and then only he or others can know.
reply
Yes Braves and Yankees have 2nd best odds on traditional sports books but I think the Mets and Phillies are better than the Braves. It is close though. All three of those teams should battle for the division.
Mets are trash. Dodgers forever!!
reply
I own 200k shares of Dodgers.
reply
I feel like the Bravos beat up on the Mets a lot still but that may just be my childhood talking
reply
Sounds right but this could be the Mets year.
reply
One could only hope
