I am not talking about Soto. I am talking about Gerrit Cole the best (if not best, top 3) pitcher in baseball. They just announced yesterday he is having Tommy John surgery and will miss the entire year. They are also missing another starter pitcher and one of their sluggers.
They are still a good team but I don't consider them the class of the AL anymore. They are amongst a handful of teams that could win the American League.
Something will work out for them. They're the Yankees.
That is always a potential outcome. They will trade for guys at the deadline I am sure. I still think they a decent chance to win the American League but I did not bet that heavy on them because I don't know if they should still be the frontrunner.
Don't worry, I'll be betting heavily on plenty of teams. I've got to spend all my ICC winnings, somehow.
