Party politics has no room for men of principle. I don't know Massie but he seems to act in a VERY consistent way. He reminds me of Ron Paul in many ways. Trump is NOT principled nor ideologically driven. He wants to get stuff done and anyone that stands in his way is a problem. If they are someone like Massie who pretty much stands alone they are an easy target.
Comparing him to Chaney exposes how Trump views opposition. Chaney was basically a Democrat pretending to be a Republican. It is interesting that Trump has praised Ron Paul but the dude that is most like Paul in office today he scorns.
Massie has a big target on his back for his opposition to supporting the Israeli lobby. I am not surprised that Trump is targeting him now. It was only a matter of time.
And before the TDS people hop on... the democrats are just as bad about killing descent. At least Nancy was. Its one of the massive issues with the US system of party politics and democracy.
Ron Paul though always saw the bigger picture. He wouldn’t tank stuff that would shut down the government like Massie has threatened to do time and time again. There is a time and place for duking it out but that time isn’t days before funding runs out. Paul knew that Massie… well he doesn’t care.
Paul worked hard to compromise and I haven’t see that either Massie at all. He’s so hard to work with that they now just leave him out of stuff because he won’t vote anyway so why cause yourself the headache.
