  • Traded 11 to Colts for 14 and 45
  • Traded 14 to Seahawks for 18 and 50
  • Traded 18 to Chargers for 22 and 55
  1. Harmon- day one starter on the interior DLine to provide inside pass rush and run D.
  2. Zabel- LG year one and then kick him to C
  3. Conerly- RT prospect. Likely swing T year 1 before slotting in at RT.
  4. Sawyer- Edge depth and hopefully starter across Bosa in year 2 or 3.
  5. Thomas- good press man corner so Lenior can play Nickel.
  6. Johnson- toy for Kyle. Small, shifty, quick WR.
  • Traded 99 and 148 to move up to 90
  1. Carter- wanted a LB and there were only two I liked left so traded up for Carter. He will be LB3 if Greenlaw leaves.
  2. Bowman- is a speedster who will play some FS and maybe a bit of Nickel as part of the DB rotation.
  3. Cross- doubled up on DLine. Undersized but strong pass rush ability. He will be a rotational piece and play only obvious passing downs.
  4. Martinez- obligatory RB pick.
  5. Colby- making the OLine young again. Colby joins my future C and RT as a backup guard year 1 and potential LG starter once Zabel moves to C.
  6. Conyers- 49ers signed Luke Farrell today to be TE2 so TE isn't as big a need anymore. Conyers will compete for TE 3/4.
  7. Rourke late flyer on QB.
I actually like the 49ers taking in an enormous rookie class. There are some many high end starters on this roster that it's a great environment for young guys to develop behind them and you need guys on cheap deals.

Yes and their depth and pipeline has eroded over the years as the roster became top heavy. Why not use this year's draft when you have the best draft capital since 2020 to fix that?
