We all know that the Bitcoin protocol is out there and not a single individual could change it.

Now, just imagine the following situation. Satoshi Nakamoto comes forward and he proves he is the one, he has the keys and is able to move the coins mined on 2.009...

But, maybe you don't like the guy because he has an ideology very different to yours (extreme right or left, woke, vegan, etc).

Would you still use and trust the Bitcoin protocol as before or knowing the creator would change your opinion about BTC?

Yes, I'll trust & use BTC as before.100.0%
if I don't like him I'll stop using btc0.0%

The cat is out of the bag at this point, Bitcoin has been a self-sustaining thing for a long time. Satoshi, if he came back, couldn't change anything fundamental. His only advantage would be a social one (people might take his opinion more seriously because of who he is). He couldn't force bitcoin to change, so there is no reason to do anything differently.

What if he says, "All Bitcoin is my invention. Give me my money back?"

reply

He has nothing to do with bitcoin protocol, it's like stumbling upon a random guy with a lot of BTC=) But would be curious to hear his thoughts on key bitcoin history moments though

totally useless question. I don't even know why it is asked in "Bitcoin_Beginners" territory.

Stack harder is the only acceptable answer to this
