I'm gonna say it's beyond me too. (but I do enjoy the chaos)

Instinctive economist reaction is obvs that tariffs = bad, making everyone poorer.

  • Do I have hopes for a better global monetary arrangement? Yes.
  • Does that come along via a political agreement à la Bretton Woods or Plaza accord? Hardly.

All I know is that I hope whatever is keeping BTC under 100k keeps happening for another month. I would love it to be cheap when I roll over that 401k. So let's keep peak chaos for a while
