Okay this is why I see the lock out coming and coming up quickly… look I like Vlad Jr but while he’s been better he is a bat first guy who isn’t exactly in the best shape.
In his 6 seasons so far he’s had two great ones and 4 decent ones. He turns 26 next week so he will be 27 when his next contract kicks off and given his variability plus his build he could be one of those guys that at 31/32 falls off a cliff.

If he was asking for almost 600M I am glad the Jays didn’t sign him. That’s just ridiculous. He is a great hitter and I think he will have a big year but that’s crazy. Maybe 10 years 370M.
