I have decided to change the name of the territory. This was a spur of the moment decision. I woke up this morning and decided to change the name. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I have been feeling that this territory felt limiting to me. I get obsessions about weird pets and the wildlife I encounter where I live, and I sometimes would like to post about it.

I know SN plans to eventually allow for sub-territories. It seems like this new name would lend itself to that eventuality. I can see Dogs and Cats having their own sub.

We will see how it goes. It's not as if I am taking a big chance, since this territory has always been a labor of love anyway, and I'm not really worried about sat profitability.

So, if you're obsessed with african cichlids(like me), backyard pond wildlife, gray parrots, or elephants, post away!

Some are close to humans, some are not. According to one study, goats are the animal closest to humans emotionally. There are Dolphins and octopuses in the seas that show similar affinity.

This was a good decision.

Thanks. Goats are fascinating animals. My mom had them as a kid. Her immigrant family kept them in a NYC backyard!

Wow, that's really great. It opens up so many possibilities. Now I can post about all kinds of animals, not just cats and dogs. Looking forward to seeing all the different animal-related posts.
