What do you mean by "mothers get anything"?
If they gave anything, I wouldn't take it. But yeah they give some monetary and nutritional benefits to some specific people. There's a big divide by reservation on caste and religion basis in India.
Any leave assistance

No. Nothing.
And we actually don't require it because most of us live in combined families.

Yes I have heard this before. So what’s the normal house arrangement say you and your family then your parents and partner parents ?
reply
We have a big house in half an acre all built with 4 families living together without a division of walls in between. However my granny passed away all my uncles and my father decided to divide the inheritance and cook seperately.
In all our family living in this house, we've 21 people all the time. Some live in Jaipur for business. When we all gather together we are now exactly 40 including my daughter who was born a few months ago.
So, only my immediate family is
My parents +
Me and my partner +
My brother + my daughter

Interesting! Sorry for your loss with the gran. So who owns the land and house as such is that joint owned by everyone?
reply
Now my father and all three uncles own the house and the land. It's kinda automatic transfer when elders pass away. The property is equally divided among the sons if it's ancestral.
