Weird argument. You can use the same symbol in different contexts and people will understand.
For example, the dollar sign is also used by multiple countries and everyone understands that when you are in Australia, $ does not mean USD but AUD.
And one could also reason that without Lightning, micropayments (1 sat) wouldn't be possible. So in that sense, Lightning and satoshis are related.
Also, I read a article where it was mentioned that C looks like a kebab skewer. Can't unsee now, lol
So I am for B.
Also @bitcoininterest: Next time do a poll, lol
Exactly, the dollar symbol being used for different currencies is freaking confusing. We are on the internet in cyberspace, I usually use a VPN with location in Canada and don't even remember. Then I see prices in Canadian dollars thinking they are US dollar and the same with the Mexican Peso.
Do you think Lightning will be here in 100 years or new protocols and technologies will arise? You can also send SATs through Liquid without Lightning.
The SATs will be along humanity for the rest of its existance and I think they deserve its own symbol.
As Elisabeth Stark says: The Sat is the Native token of Bitcoin.
Now I can't unsee the kebab skewer. What you did🤦

Valid argument why it's bad to use $ for same currencies. But that's just because the context is not clear in the cases you mentioned.

Yes I think so. But the difference is that in both these contexts, 'âš¡100' will be clear: To send sats. The number is sufficient, no?
And a number will always be part of paying for something since you need to know how much you need to pay.
