Surprised to see 1 pointers are given for fouls!

1 point for foul shots but you usually get at least 2 foul shots unless a foul is called during the act of scoring a basket or there is a technical foul (say for excessively arguing with the referee).

Haha! This re should be applied in cricket as well. We can get half the runs scored for fouls.
Cricketers argue the umpire very often and sledging is on almost every ball..
