I checked into a hotel one time and there was a Maine Coon in the lobby....was the managers personal cat.....
They are much bigger than you think, maybe 3x the size of normal house cat.

Yes. They are huge. We have two who hang out in our yard all the time. You could mistake them for bobcats.

I've always liked this breed, along with the Abyssinian, Bengal, and American Shorthair. They're surprisingly big and heavy if you pick one up!
