I am also optimistic because today I still have the ability to buy the supreme antidote: Bitcoin. This window won’t last forever. Capital controls are coming, and when all money is digital and certain transactions are not allowed, the ability to purchase Bitcoin will quickly vanish. If any of this doom porn resonates with you and you don’t own at least a very small % of your liquid net worth in Bitcoin, the best day to have bought Bitcoin was yesterday.

Hypothetically, let's say they implement a full CBDC currency that blocks BTC transactions. There would be no more on-ramp from CBDC and no off-ramps.
How would we then onboard newbs into the BTC circular economy? It seems we would have to start making BTC donations for people to get started & that would be their initial on-ramp.

In that scenario newbs would have to provide goods and services for sats.

Back to using cowrie shells as a medium of exchange, I guess.
But I don't think cash will go away. The first extended power outage in a cashless society will teach that lesson.
